How did you come up with the name of your studio?
Cult stands for WORSHIP. Space Cult generally means worshipping space. I have great respect and love for the space which I design.
What determined your passion for design? Tell us about the moment when you decided this is the way to go.
I strongly believe that “Design is Everything”. So I wanted to choose my career in the path of design.
What kind of projects were you doing when you first started as a designer?
I started my design with residential projects and over the years, I started designing Commercial and institutional projects.
What field of design are you most interested in?
I am interested in Spatial designing / Interior Designing. I want people to just experience and enjoy the space which I design.
What is your favourite book/magazine on design? How about your favourite site?
Anything related to Contemporary Architectural Design.
What is your Signature Style?
I am more into contemporary style. But I want my client to be happy with my design. So my style varies with the need of the client.
What inspires you to thrive in this industry? Which piece of architecture inspires you the most.
Projects which I did and my Client’s satisfaction inspired me a lot.
I love the works of Zaha Hadid and Frank O Gehry.
From your point of view, is design an art or a science?
Design is a beautiful art painted with science.
If you had no limits (money, resources), what would you create?
I would love to design a play home for orphanages. Everyone in this world deserves a good design of space.
What advice do you have for young designers or architects reading this interview?
There is a saying- beauty lies in the eyes of Beholder. So, be confident with what you do.
