Through a modern and minimal design approach, we have carefully designed a 4 Bedroom home in Nashik to reflect the classy and vibrant personalities of the client. The young NRI couple wanted “a modern home that would be joyful.”
A classic white door opens into a dramatic entrance foyer that is welcomed by an unconventional sculpture of Ganesha and a set of planters lending a dash of freshness to the monochromatic palette of the foyer.
The recessed entrance foyer opens up into a sprawling space that accommodates the living room in the centre with a dining area and a pool table adjacent to it on each side.
An understated and subdued colour palette of the living room is enriched by meticulous wall treatment and exclusive artwork that skillfully complements imported statement furniture.
An overall minimal design aesthetic makes enough room for the statement furniture and drama that tags along with it.
The pop of red sofa set in this space instantly breaks the muted monochrome palette. The red, curved back chairs oomph up an otherwise basic quadrangular dining table with a glass top, which sits proudly in the light of a contemporary chandelier.
A distinctive element is the ample natural light flowing in which adds to the home’s character. The puja space, bathed in natural light from the window is a withdrawal from the vibrant hues and retreats into the serene greys and whites.
On the other side of the living area is a pool table, flanked by the identical console of the dining table The living room evokes a joyful vibe that resonates with the personality of its owners who are a young couple who like to entertain and socialize with their group of friends and family.
The kitchen has a chic monochrome palette with clean lines. The space features glass panelling that adds more depth and dimension to the room.
The bedrooms of the house are distinct in their styles and reflect the tastes of their owners. The flooring for all the bedrooms is noticeably distinct.
The mother’s room is in accord with the overall palette of the house. It is a monochrome palette with hints of red, used meticulously to create a harmonious aesthetic with colours and materials unlike the striking and eye-catching impact in the living space.
The daughter’s room done in pink and white tones is straight out of a storybook and is most aloof from the otherwise subdued vibe of the house.
The master bedroom exudes a classy and restrained vibe with white walls, grey furniture and monochromatic wooden flooring. The Master bedroom boasts of grandeur with its walk-in closet. Cabinets in the walk-in closet are crafted in dark brown wood and fluted glass.
The den/playroom has the most relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the entire house and is a no-fuss space, best to compose oneself and take a breather. The playroom houses an aqua blue couch and a television resting on a console.
All-encompassing, a subdued palette, minimal aesthetic and a tad bit of drama are the consistent elements in the house and despite many distinct tastes of the occupants, these elements tie everything together in a modern-minimalist aesthetic.
