How did you come up with the name of your studio?
While working on a design concept for the Blind school in college days, a random thought struck my mind about the vision from the perspective of a disabled person. Designing the spatial spaces as per the utmost efficiency for the respective can be an achievement towards designing itself.
What determined your passion for design? Tell us about the moment when you decided this is the way to go.
It was quite a pre-decided thing to get into the design field because we were already engulfed in the field of construction and designing for the past 23 years.
What kind of projects were you doing when you first started as a designer?
With starting just in between college we tend to take up small scale projects as freelancers just to gather the knowledge towards the practicality of execution and to understand the design language going in the respective market. Though with time moving forward, we started to scale up the projects by taking up turnkey solutions for our clients to ease their work and respectively take up the whole thing under Blank Space Architects with the involvement of our expertise and our labour dedication towards achieving the designs.
What field of design are you most interested in?
We tend to involve in more residential projects and commercial projects.

What is your Signature Style?
As such we don’t have a specific signature style, we tend to achieve the design needs of our clients and collaborate our design philosophy with the same. And we love to experiment with structural design.
What inspires you to thrive in this industry? Which piece of architecture inspires you the most.
The thinking towards execution of design and the process to achieve it inspires us to move ahead and do mistakes and achieve the result simultaneously.
Casa Batlló Barcelona is a major inspiration.
From your point of view, is design an art or a science?
It’s difficult to select one, design is an art as its contribution to the spatial space and design is science as it involves the reliability of scientific facts and there is a systematic analysis of measurements.
If you had no limits (money, resources), what would you create?
There’s nothing specific I want to create, but if there is such a situation then a huge concrete structure with louvres and curtain walls will be my choice.
What advice do you have for young designers or architects reading this interview?
The only advice I would like to give is not to stop yourself from the design perspective and not to waste time thinking over the execution of the design because if we wish we can achieve any design and honestly we learn from our own mistakes.
Also, gather as much knowledge from site visits and practicality because that’s of great help.
