How did you come up with the name of your studio?
I always wanted my name to be a part of my firm name so that people could easily associate with it. Hence, Foram Vora Design Studio was my instantaneous pick.
What determined your passion for design? Tell us about the moment when you decided this is the way to go.
Growing up, I was always inclined towards art and design. The way the spaces were formed creating different experiences and memories always intrigued me. This led me to pursue architecture.
What kind of projects were you doing when you first started as a designer?
When I first started as a designer, I took up even the smallest projects that came my way- a single bedroom design or even a bathroom which helped me to look at the finer nuances and gain experience. This eventually led to bigger opportunities.
What field of design are you most interested in?
Architecture and Interiors of course!

Architectural Digest, Archdaily, Dezeen, Designboom and a few more
What is your Signature Style?
Modern and minimal though it keeps evolving with each project.
What inspires you to thrive in this industry? Which piece of architecture inspires you the most.
I derive inspiration not just from art and architecture but from various disciplines- be it fashion, music or simple everyday things.
From your point of view, is design an art or a science?
Design is the science of art.
If you had no limits (money, resources), what would you create?
Would like to design a holiday home in a forest or on a hill with breathtaking views, using local materials. Actually, the list is endless.
What advice do you have for young designers or architects reading this interview?
Be bold, unique and fearless. Carve out your own niche and don’t get boggled by social media. Believe in yourself and your passion for design and creativity will keep you going.
